Lida’s Reading List

It’s especially enjoyable for me to read a book written by someone I know. It elevates the read to a whole other level, and that’s how I feel about Carol’s newest release. I’m eager to finish it to see what happens. I enjoyed the picture books and the romances. Though they were by the same author, I found The Switch to be the more engaging of the two.

The Switch by Beth O’Leary
The Road Trip by Beth O’Leary
RSVP to Murder (A Blackwell & Watson Time-Travel Mystery #4) by Carol Pouliot (in process)
The Buddy Bench by Patty Brozo
Shoulder Bags and Shootings (A Haley Randolph Mystery #3) by Dorothy Howell
No Fuzzball by Isabella Kung
The Day You Begin by Jacqueline Woodson

Tina’s Reading List

This month has me writing rather than reading. I am at the finish line with Autumn Embers, Book #3 in my Batavia-on-Hudson series, and reading will be taking a back seat until it’s done. I did manage a few good books – I was especially lucky to read a few Advanced Reader Copies to review and blurb. And I was thrilled to start digging into Naomi Hirahara’s books as Carol Pouliot and I prepare to interview her as the Guest of Honor at the upcoming virtual Murderous March 2024 Conference. (Registration is open!)

Clark and Division (Book #1 in the Japantown Mysteries) by Naomi Hirahara
The Premonition by Banana Yoshimoto
Educating Alice, Adventures of a Curious Woman by Alice Steinbach (Travel memoir)
Happy All the Time by Laurie Colwin
Family Ties, Family Lies by Jacqueline Boulden (Advanced Reader Copy)
Mami Suzuki: Private Eye by Simon Rowe (Advanced Reader Copy)

Jen’s Reading List

I’ve been diving deeper than usual into non-fiction, immersing myself in some Victorian luminaries whose lives were well outside the rigid rules I associate with the stern and strict Victorians, plus a thought- provoking exploration of the senses the other inhabitants of this planet use that humans are blind to. Add in some great books with the kids, and it’s been a fun month of reading.
