Lida’s Reading List

Once again, I’m enjoying a wide variety of books, old and new, one of which I’m revisiting and a picture book that was recommended to me. I really like that each book starts a different gear turning in my head, helping to view my world in a much broader sense.

Time’s Undoing by Cheryl Head
Finlay Donovan Jumps the Gun (Finlay Donovan #3) by Elle Cosimano
The Victory Garden by Rhys Bowen
The Hotel Nantucket by Elin Hilderbrand
People We Meet on Vacation by Emily Henry
Mama’s Bank Account by Kathryn Forbes
Babajoon’s Treasure by Farnaz Esnaashari

Tina’s Reading List

This past month my reading has swung between the two extremes of humor to heart-wrenching short stories. I also started re-reading Lida’s Southern California Mysteries in anticipation of her newest release coming later this year. Her books are so much fun, they warrant a second look.

Jen’s Reading List

Fall always brings a return to busy schedules and packed evenings, cutting back on my reading time. This month I’ve enjoyed diving into some classics, both in their original text (hello, Wilkie Collins and Agatha Christie) and clever adaptations (I adore Kate McMullan’s Myth-O-Mania series).

What Can A Body Do? How We Meet the Built World by Sara Hendren (finished)
The Moonstone by Wilkie Collins (in progress)
The Luminaries by Eleanor Catton (in progress)
Nemesis: A Miss Marple Mystery #12 by Agatha Christie (finished)
And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie (in progress)
The Shadows of Doom (The Uncommoners #2) by Jennifer Bell (in progress)
Go for the Gold, Atalanta!: Myth-O-Mania #8 by Kate McMullan (finished)
Keep a Lid on It, Pandora: Myth-O-Mania #6 by Kate McMullan (in progress)
Winterhouse by Ben Guterson (in progress)

Carol’s Reading List

This month’s reading was quite different for me. After finishing the 800-page Ken Follett novel, I had macular surgery and couldn’t read for a while. Luckily, I was able to listen to a couple of audiobooks. My choices for the remainder of the month were all light, comfort-style reading, books that I liken to comfort food.

Four Funerals and Maybe a Wedding (Royal Spyness #12) by Rhys Bowen
Never by Ken Follett
Finlay Donovan Jumps the Gun (Finlay Donovan #3) by Elle Cosimano
Unintended Consequences (Stone Barrington #26) by Stuart Woods (Audiobook)
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone (Harry Potter #1) by J. K. Rowling (Audiobook)
Murder at the Palace (Eleanor Roosevelt Mystery #5) by Elliott Roosevelt
Death of a Scriptwriter (Hamish Macbeth Mystery #14) by M.C. Beaton
Death of a Perfect Wife (Hamish Macbeth Mystery #4) by M.C. Beaton
Death of a Poisoned Pen (Hamish Macbeth Mystery #20) by M.C. Beaton
The Clue of the Dancing Puppet (Nancy Drew #39) by Carolyn Keene
